I hit that “spontaneous, unavoidable, inflection point” in 2012-2013 and LOST it! I was writing copy for several mining and construction industry clients. Their websites were getting crazy growth. And, then, just as quickly and unexpected as my services were working, my written copy stopped working.
I agree. I had trouble maintaining the momentum. Maybe I was just in the game at the right time, and then the game changed. I’ve been trying to keep alive what worked (Authorship, on-page SEO and social SEO in my writing). Maybe I need to take more of a risk? I know the industries that I work in are in an economic bust. (laughing) Maybe I can make up new rules for the game?!
